How to watch Nascar Xfinity on CW?

Why do you not carry the local CW channel in Northern Michigan in the Traverse City/Cadillac area? Spectrum Cable and Dish Network do.  It is the only network that carries the Nascar Xfinity races this season, plus all the other CW programming.  Seems like DirecTV is trying to find ways to lose longtime customers to your competitors. You should offer us a way to stream it or get an out-of-market CW station like KTLA

Most likely your local CW affiliate owner wants more money then DTV wants to pay that is then passed onto your bill.

The FCC doesn't allow any TV providers to provide any channels not in your DMA (Designated Market Area) so DTV can't provide other CW channels.

@cindylouwho13

The "why" is normally both sides could not come to an agreement. The channel will not give the feed for free after all. Even if free over traditional antenna, TV providers have to pay to carry the feed. And a lot of us other customers don't want to keep paying more and more for channels we may not even be able to get in the first place (as locals are built into the cost for all, not just those that can receive them).

As for your claim they should offer an out-of-market station, they aren't allowed to. Per Federal regulations, as lobbied by the channel owners, DirecTV may only provide locals that are in-market. So there is no "should" as not only is there no obligation you are provided your local CW, but it is not permitted for you to get an out-of-market one. That is the reality of how it works.
