Gemini hard wire shutoff issue

We got the Gemini box it’s so frustrating we are still having issues when you pause a show to long the Gemini shuts down and reverts to our Bose screen saver.  On the other genie we never had this issue….help

Hi @Deerepa. This happens because the Gemini box enters a sleep mode during long pauses, which tricks your Bose system into thinking the signal was lost.

Please try these quick troubleshooting steps to fix it:


1. Turn Off Gemini Power Saving: Press Home > Settings (gear icon) > System > Power Saving, and turn it OFF. This keeps the box active so it won't time out.

2. Disable HDMI-CEC Standby: Check your TV and Bose audio settings to turn off HDMI-CEC System Standby. This stops them from shutting down automatically when the box drops its signal.

3. Adjust the Screensaver: Navigate to Home > Settings > System > Device Preferences > Screen Saver to lengthen the delay timer before a screensaver takes over.
