DirecTV app
I'm recently loaded the DirecTV app onto my TV and I can't figure out how to delete a recording.. any help would be appreciated. Most things I find that tell me how to delete things are referring to DirecTV stream. Now I have regular DirecTV with the dish but I was able to download the app so I don't have to pay the extra $7.99 for the boxes 👍

Hello, @Watersrob36478. Thanks for reaching out to us. As you're utilizing the DIRECTV via Satellite service with us, kindly note that the deletion of recordings through the DIRECTV App is not an available option. The recordings can solely be deleted from the main box itself.

As of now, we don't have that option. DIRECTV STREAM and via Internet, is a cloud hard drive, it enables them to delete from the app, but currently not on via Satellite. But we'd love the idea. We'll forward your suggestion to the right team, so they can look it over and figure out the next steps. DIRECTV appreciates your input. 💙

DTV sat service has never had the ability to delete recording remotely so doubt if that can be added to the app.

You cannot delete recordings from the app. Only directly from the box itself.
The additional TV fee is $7, not $7.99.
App has limited access so it cannot completely replace a receiver/client box. That is by design as DirecTV is first and foremost by satellite. Streaming through the app is a secondary perk.
DIRECTV STREAM is a separate provider specifically for streaming-only. So the options are different from normal DirecTV.
