Default channel 2 infomercials
Why is Columbus, Ohio, channel 2 with infomercials the default channel when I log on to DirecTV? I do not have Channel 2 selected on my favorite channels, but it is the channel that displays every time I turn on my TV. No doubt DirecTV makes money by showing infomercials, but I am paying a premium for DirecTV service and should have a choice of start-up the channel.
I can't take any more Shark commercials! Is there a way to set up a startup channel?

Go to Block Channels and block channel 2, along with other channels you don't want to view.
Pst... Don't tell DirecTV I told you how to block their auto ad.

DTV doesn't make any money on infomercials on a local channel.

Hide whatever channels you want. DirecTV doesn't care if you do or who you tell.
And FYI, DirecTV (or any TV provider) has no control over the advertisements/infomercials your locals (or any other channel) show.
