A C71KW-400 does not "connect to a dish." It can only pull data from a Genie server box, or stream from the Internet.
What kind of "reset" are you looking for? IIRC, this has the same red button as most DIRECTV boxes, so push and hold it for 15 to 20 seconds to perform the "standard" reset.
Hi Jeffer, the c71kw-400 goes to a coax dish splitter, ant in and 2 out, one out goes to whole house DTV box ( that coax feeds the LNB power) the other side of splitter goes to C71KW in a remote location that can't get wireless signal. The remote location has no signal. There is a converter box that converts the coax to ethernet because C71KW has no coax connector. The main whole box does see the C71KW box . The TV has a " no sync. signal message " We think the C71KW needs to be programed, pushing the "red" reset button has no effect. Thanks for your response. BTW this setup worked for several months .

What Genie/Genie 2 device do you have (HR34, HR44, HR54, HS17)?
Assuming the HS17, the HS17 speaks MoCA over the coax to talk to any non-wireless clients. Your issue could be:
