What is the windshield wiper looking symbol beside the time on the guide screen?

I've read this symbol means it's not connected to the internet. This is not the case. I'm connect to our wifi and full signal but still have the windshield looking icon. Any idea what this really is? TIA

That is indeed a symbol for your WiFi connectivity. To verify that you're truly connected try downloading/viewing an OnDemand show. If the symbol is simply wrong, try resetting your box. What DVR model is this?

Hello @kslahait, we'd be happy to answer your question. The symbol means that you're connected to your home network and the internet. For more information, we'll be a PM away. DIRECTV appreciates your loyalty. Jhon, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Increasing curves is the general WiFi symbol used for over 20 years. If it has a line through it, looking like a wiper on a windshield then it thinks there is a connection problem.

Either your box has a problem and is displaying the symbol in error (doesn't change that is what the icon really is), or perhaps you are seeing a different icon than what it seems you've described.

Can you upload a picture of exactly what you are seeing on the screen?

What are the models of your boxes and do you have the issue on each one?
