Direct guide w/ smart TV guide not working

We have the Direct TV app on our smart tv. I can pull the guide up but am unable navigate or select anything in the guide to select a channel.  I thought it was the remote so we tried using our phone as the remote and still have the same problem.  I can access other apps on the smart  tv, just not Direct TV. Can you help?

What streaming device?

Try deleting and reinstalling the DirecTV Stream App.
