Changing from broadcast to streaming

Mom is 99 and just moved to assisted living where they have direct tv (she used to have xfinity). She has an older flat screen tv but now the only way to switch from watching YouTube to a local broadcast channel is to go in each time and switch the input. She has limited vision and cannot do this. Broadcast tv is not a choice on her Home Screen. Is it her tv or is there a way around this that could make it easier for her?( She mainly watches interesting videos on YouTube, and the news and Judge Judy on broadcast. 😂)
