Why is Directv not support firestick, Samsung or roku

Why is Directv not support firestick, Samsung or roku. Its now been a month, support lies and says its being worked on.

They do support those devices. I use fire sticks and Roku on all my TVs.you need to provide more details with your situation.

  Ok, only in on my brand new roku, firestick and samsung tv does Directv not provide support. Supposedly there is an "outage" which has now lasted a month.

  I doubt yours works either.

  Why does directv want to be microsoft? It has now been over a month directv support can not resolve directv failures.

It is NOT complicated, its an app. Simple stuff, failure of directv to find a valid subscription is all directv.

  Fix your crap apps/software.

You give no details of your issues or  anything. More information needed.

On any firestick, roku or Samsung device. We successfully authenticate. We immediately see 

  "directv good tv" and we see "start free trial"  or "sign in".  I have paid for a su(Edited per community guidelines)cription for several months. It was previously working.

   Support is worthless, delete app, power off device multiple times. Same results on every try.

   Only place it works is on my tablet.  Its now been a month, support has said they are working on it. (Edited per community guidelines) this is not a difficult problem on their end.

Since it is about the same exact topic, I have requested your threads be merged.

Just because you are having a problem doesn't mean that everyone else has the same issue. Your doubt doesn't change that it is working for others.

If you want help then give specific details, such as exact models, symptoms/error messages, specific troubleshooting tried, etc. instead of vague complaints with broad accusations.

And if you think that it is so easy to fix, since you know exactly what the cause is and the perfect resolution, then get a job with them and show them how it is done. Otherwise with having no info on the inner workings of their system, or whatever rules they must follow with software updates/fixes (especially with an app that goes on 3rd party devices), then you are not the subject matter expert for their specific systems and programming.

Lets keep this polite, constructive, and within reality.

Can you log in to your DirecTV Stream account? Are you a previous or current DirecTV or AT&T subscriber?using the same credentials,being email/password?

   Nope, I am an att customer. however our directv subscription is not through att.

Yes, successfully authenticate vi the apps on any of the devices. As I said this was previously working.

   This is frustrating as after a month and multiple calls to support, they have lied stating and "outage".

  As shared authentication with my credentials is successful, the apps fail to confirm our paid for subscription. Tablet works fine.

  This problem should not take a month to resolve.

If you select sign in what happens? Any messages or error codes?

It successfully authenticates and goes back to the same screen.

"start free trial" or "sign in"

free trial>pick a subscription> enter phone number

  "This email/phone number are associated with and existing account"

I try "sign in" again with the same results.

   We successfully login with our credentials. The app simple does not confirm our subscription.

   Support should be able to debug this and track trace the issue with not finding our subscription.

Is your service traditional DirecTV (satellite which has the perk of using the app for some content) or DIRECTV STREAM (which is streaming-only)?

AT&T retains ownership (70%) of the DirecTV brand, so when you say your subscription is not through AT&T, do you mean you have completely separate logins and one doesn't try to redirect to the other?

Are you using a different email between the AT&T an DirecTV logins? This matters as there were big issues when they unified the logins (when AT&T acquired the DirecTV brand) and then reversed that upon the new co-owner joining.

The forum is owned by DirecTV/AT&T so they edit posts as they (the moderators) see fit within their guidelines. Understand you are frustrated, but best to keep discussion polite to try and get the assistance you need.

Outage is probably not the best word, but I suspect that is not a lie just could be explained better. Sounds like they have an issue that is more than just a customer or two, but not across the board. So tracking down the cause and getting a fix, including going through any "red tape", takes some time and more than they or we would like.

Have you tried changing your email on the DirecTV Stream account to a different email? Then delete the app and reinstall and try with the new email.
