Same commercials over and over

I can't enjoy my Directv service due to the same ads played over and over again.  I am trying to watch a movie on FMC.  The movie is interrupted every 8 minutes to show me the same message.  It's frustrating and a clear waste of advertising.  Why would the same audience need to see the same public service announcement 10 to 20 times in the 2.5 hr stretch?

I am so frustrated that I am choosing not to purchase products from the advertisers.
