MLB Network

Why am I no longer getting MLB Network with my Choice package?  Last year I was able to watch just about any game on the MLB App.  When this season started, almost all of the games are now locked and I cannot watch.  I called and was on the line with someone for over an hour and they were pretty useless as far as offering any help.  I dropped Xfinity for poor customer service (among many other things) and now I'm getting the same from Direct TV.

MLB Network (channel 213) is available in the CHOICE package or higher. Did you encounter an error accessing the channel and the MLB app? Some games might not be available and are subject to blackout restrictions. Charles, DIRECTV Community Team

I get the one channel, 213.  Last year I was able to watch just about any game on the app.  This year, zilch.  What’s the story?  No error, it just says need to subscribe.   There’s a padlock icon on all of those games shown on the MLB app.

Sports blackout restrictions are set by leagues and networks that own broadcast rights, which may limit game availability. Depending on your market, it may be on another channel.
