live sports playback starts in the middle of the broadcast

I try to watch live sports in delay. When I start the playback the screen jumps to the middle of the broadcast

That is a problem. I watch sports 100% of the time. None of these networks are sports channels. 

But the real problem is when I am recording a live event and I jump in after about 1 hour to start from 0 seconds. It will randomly start in the middle - which ruins the game. And your backup method is clumsy.

That happens to me as well. But not consistently. I watch DTV via Apple TV. The quality is great, but inconsistent.

Any idea on a fix? Update and restart on new AppleTV hasn’t helped. (Bought primarily for use with DTV stream service…my iPhone doesn’t seem to have this issue nor does Roku…)

It happens about 50% of the time.

Think it through - staring in the middle of a telecast ruins the score. There is no going back.

Additionally, 3 Apple TVs, same result. Not on my computer or iPad.
