Incorrect Directv Notice: No Internet Connection

We have a brand new LG smart tv. Professionally installed and set up on April 25th. This week we've begun having problems. When we turn on the tv, we get the Directv notice that we do not have an internet connection. The first time it happened, we reset the tv. The second time, we called Directv. A Directv technician helped us by steering us to "Settings and System." "System" shows our network and that we have "no internet." FYI All other devices in our home are connected to our network with no issues. She had us deselect Wifi, then select Wifi, our network showed up and we were connected.  We now have to follow this procedure every time we try turn on the tv. Not a happy household!

Does anyone have a thought in how we can get back to the way our tv worked before this started happening?

Which DirecTV Stream device are you using? If it's the Gemini box try using the Ethernet wired connection

We have Xfinity internet. The first time this happened, we disconnected  the modem for more than a minute and plugged it back in and waited for if to reboot.  All cords and cables firmly attached. That’s when we reset the tv which didn’t help.

No, it is not. No gaming here. And our only other devices are 2 iPhones, a laptop, and Surface. We have plenty of internet service to cover these devices.

Thank you. It is a Gemini. I was thinking we should get an Ethernet cable as we have a wall jack and can connect directly to our modem.

You were an enormous help with our prior Samsung issues.  DirecTV should have you on the payroll!

Hi Ludwick577 — Once again you hit a home run! For $5.99 we are now connected via Ethernet and so far our tv is working perfectly and loading faster.
