Five Recent Channels staying at bottom of screen
Out of nowhere, five boxes showing my recent channels has taken residence at the bottom of the picture of my current channel content. Neither pressing back nor home ok makes it go away for more than a few seconds. How can I remove these recent channels boxes?

This sounds like you have a remote controller with a stuck button. I could be wrong, but we have experienced this with a Fire Stick remote that had a stuck button. We determined this by quickly removing the remote batteries after pressing the back button. It did not come up again. Afterwards, I cleaned the remote and was able to get it fixed.

This might be some minor display issue. Please have your equipment restarted by unplugging your receiver's power cord from the electrical outlet, waiting 15 seconds, and plugging it back in. This helps refreshing and reauthorizing the service and signal provided to it.
Please let us know how it goes, and in case of needed, share with us if this is for Satellite or Streaming service. Thank you.

Katherine, the answer to everything is not a DM conversation. No one but the one subscriber you're DMing learns anything from a DM.

...and there is nothing account related or proprietary about the answer to restrict from subscribers.

@JefferMC This type of behavior needs to stop and solutions need to be shared (if any) to all participants in the forums.

The symptoms went away later last night. It could’ve been due to turning off the tv a short time. I’m not totally sure but thanks for the suggestions.

Just had this same issue and while I suspected restart the box was the answer, I’m glad the answer is publicly available here 🙂

I want to delete or remove the: “Press down to see your recent channels.”
this window at the bottom of the page stays on for many minutes. It’s not necessary and I’d like to remove it from my DIRECTV Streaming options.
1). I have turned OFF Notifications on my settings
2). i have pressed every conceivable button on the Remote to make it disappear (to no avail)
3). I have waited for extended periods of time for the option to disappear…it stays on screen
I’ve done all the above which doesn’t help.
How do I remove this ANNOYING notice that reappears constantly at the bottom of the screen when viewing a program?
