Direct tv streaming different locations

I’m looking into getting direct tv streaming.  I travel alot for work  so I need to be able to view on a fire stick from home ( wife and kids ) and away ( on a fire stick ) at the same time . Is it possible that both my self and my family can stream on 2 fire sticks at different locations in the US??

I had this feature on YouTube tv but with then losing ESPN plus abc I will no longer keep them.

if it's a DIRECTV STREAM service that you do have, not the satellite, yes you can get a maximum of 3 out of home concurrent streams, 20 for in-home concurrent streams.

Thanks for that. Is there any more info out there for the out of home concurrent streams.  There is very little info on direct tvs website.

I guess I just want to make sure that if me and my family are in different locations at the same time that we both can still watch on our firesticks.

also do these devices needed to be placed back on my main network at anytime ?

hopefully this all makes sense.

the only thing that's important is to make sure all of your streaming devices is properly connected to internet, regardless as to where you are in the country, you'd be able to stream the service simultaneously

This is from their website.  Not entirely sure what the last part means.

Watch on the go
Enjoy up to three streams at the same time on mobile or streaming devices away from your home network. A maximum of 3 streaming devices can be accessed out of home.

Keep in mind: Only two streaming devices connected to a TV can be accessed out of the home. For example: one DIRECTV STREAM device and one Firestick.

The clarification is with mobile or streaming devices! Three away from home - but only 2 with streaming devices (Roku, or Fire sticks or Apple TV). 3 mobile of cell phones or tablets

Hey @Crazynick15 , here to help!

Let me share with you that with DIRECTV STREAM you can watch in up to  20 devices at the same time  while on your home network. Meanwhile, you can watch in up to 3 streams outside your home. Keep in mind, these 3 streams will be taken from the 20 streams, and from those streams outside your home, you can stream in up to 2 TV devices and the other should be a mobile device.

In order to stream in 20 devices at the same time, said devices must be connected to your Home Network.

so to help me understand better I could have 1 firestick going at home and 2 other firesticks in different locations in the country  all at the same time? Or just 1 firestick at home and 1 firestick at a different location ? Sorry for the million questions.

Do not worry @Crazynick15 , we're here to solve your doubts.

Yes, you are correct. You could use one compatible Firestick at your home location and two compatible devices outside your home location; as long as the devices are located inside the country.

Even more clarity - 3 of your 20 streams away from home. Of those 3 total away from home only 2 can be with streaming devices (Roku, or Fire sticks or Apple TV) but you can have 3 mobile of cell phones or tablets

As a follow up, if I travel with my iPad and have direct tv stream at home, how long can I stream on my iPad away from home? Other services require you “check in” at your home location Periodically (30 days or 90 days depending on the service) in Order to keep streaming live tv. Does Direct tv streaming require a checkin?

As long as you like. I have been using it for years in my RV. They have no limits.

We are thinking about cutting cable and getting Direct TV Streaming.  We go camping every weekend 6 months out of the year.  Will we be able to use the streaming service at our campground (60 miles from home) every weekend and then continue to have it at home as well.  If so, can we use it on 2 TVs at campground?

Trying to find a service that will benefit us at home and also when we are away on weekends without worrying about how many times we can switch locations.

Thanks.
