Updating APPS on Direct TV Streaming
How do you update apps that are downloaded into the Direct TV streaming app location? I downloaded a TV channel app. I noticed the channel was intermittently not playing/working. I also noticed the version of the app was old. How do I get the newest version?

I watch Direct TV Streaming on an LG Smart TV. I use an AT&T streaming box (before they switched our company to DirectTV streaming, it was AT&T). The APP/channel we our trying to watch and update is OAN LIVE.

To keep your installed apps up-to-date, make sure that you have the "Auto-update" setting enabled on the Google Play Store settings.

My auto update is turned on; however, according to the version of the app I have of OAN LIVE and the updates I that I found online as being available, My auto update is not updating the OAN LIVE app. When I click to check for updates. It says there are none. I see only three apps have updated. I have many more. Why are all the apps not updating automatically?

First, try uninstalling the app and then install it back to ensure that it's on the latest version available.

Could it be that because DirecTV no longer carries OAN that the app update isn't available?

Live channels have nothing to do with whether or not apps from google play store update. If your google play store is set to update then it will update. If it's not updating then there isn't an app update for android tv on dtv stream box yet. Most apps don't put out updates that often. Maybe once every couple of months. Plus google play store on the Dtv stream android tv box isn't always the same software version as google play on android phones.

My app on my DIRECTV keep telling me to be updated but when I click the update button it just clears the screen and goes to the channel guide screen. How do I update them?

Best to start a new thread as this is a few years old. Clarify what device you are using, whether you have DirecTV satellite or streaming-only, and if it is all apps or certain ones that are having an issue.
