Sudden loss of ARC volume display on Osprey only…
I have three Osprey boxes for my stream service. I’m nothing but impressed with the service coming from lifelong overpriced cable services. Recently I purchased a Sonos ARC Ultra sound bar, connected to the eARC compatible HDMI2 port on my LG OLED display. The Osprey is in HDMI1, and a Firestick is in HDMI3. Until yesterday, everything worked as expected. The soundbar does change the on screen volume adjustment image from a slider to a simplified +/- icon, showing which button is being pressed. This is fine since the SONOS is what’s producing the sound.
Anyway, as of yesterday, that +/- icon disappeared from the on screen display when volume is adjusted using the Osprey remote. However it works fine using the Firestick remote. The volume DOES adjust as expected using the Osprey remote, just no display.
Even using the Firestick remote while viewing the Osprey input DOES show the volume adjust icon.
Very strange. Any ideas? Anything happen yesterday? Update?
