Smart TV

I have 2 smart TVs in my home. I am interested in streaming TV. Do I need a separate device to do so? I have home internet

You aren't required to use a separate device, though it is recommended. A dedicated streaming device usually functions better for apps in general, and the DirecTV app specifically doesn't have a good reputation with smart TV apps.

It has been my experience that using the DirecTV Gemini vs the app is superior.  

I’ve used the app on a Roku, Fire Stick & a (Samsung) Smart TV.  I prefer the Gemini device.
