New Gemini Device Keeps Freezing – Anyone Else?

I just got the new Gemini device from DIRECTV a few days ago, and it's already acting up. It freezes randomly during live TV and sometimes restarts on its own. I’ve tried restarting and even resetting the device, but the issue keeps coming back.
Is anyone else having this problem with their Gemini box? Could it be a software issue or do I need a replacement?

I have the older larger unit (flat device approx 4" x 4"). Is this the device you have? Mine keeps freezing and dropping the internet connection. Restarting or cycling power fixes the issue, but then it happens again 5 min later (and does this over and over). I called in about it yesterday, and Directv's tech support agreed to send me a new smaller plug-in unit (much like a firestick) right away. They didn't even argue about it or want to go thru a huge troubleshooting exercise. This makes me wonder if there is a known issue with those units.

What's your internet download speed at the DirecTV Stream device?

Try uninstalling any unused apps. Or--disable them. That will clear up space and improve performance
