Just bought a new 65" visio TV and my direct TV app just freezes and won't open. All other apps work

Just bought a new 65" visio TV and my direct TV app just freezes and won't open. All other apps work. Tried power down, tried factory resetting the tv.

DirecTV 'smart' TV app isn't known for good performance. Though generally speaking 'smart' TV apps in general have similar issues. Usually better to have a dedicated streaming box (Roku, Firestick, DirecTV's Gemini, etc.) so you don't have to worry about TV specs not enough, keeping up with updates (or updates stopped as they want you to buy a new TV).
