Has anyone successfully configured DirecTV for Business APP to work over a VPN?

Have business with multiple TVs with DirecTV for Business app installed and working on android tablet.  I set up a PiVPN/Wireguard server at business and can successfully connect to it remotely on the tablet.  However, the app will not connect to any of the TVs with a notification that the tablet is not on same network as TVs.
