Genie remote

- Point the new remote at your DIRECTV box, then press and hold the MUTE and ENTER buttons together until the green light blinks twice.

- Once the screen says "Applying IR/RF Setup", press MENU on the remote.

- Go to Settings > Remote Control > Program Remote, and select your Samsung TV from the list.

Thanks for clarifying that it's for DIRECTV Stream. To make sure we give you the exact right steps, could you let us know how that second TV is hooked up? Are you using the DIRECTV App built directly into the Smart TV, or is there a physical streaming box/receiver connected to it? Charles, DIRECTV Community Team

App samsung tv, the Samsung remote works but I have autistic Grandkids hard for then to navigate,  so I ordered the same remote for the 2nd Tv, no genie on 2nd tv just the app, trying not to purchase a 2nd genie.

Thanks for confirming. Since there is no physical box on that second TV, the Genie remote won't be able to control the Samsung TV. To keep navigation simple for your grandkids without purchasing a second device, we highly recommend looking into a basic, big-button universal remote compatible with Samsung TV. @Teddy2313 You can get a Gemini box on the Walmart app for like 65 bucks. It's a box with ethernet that's the only difference. The box is small and it works just like the Gemini Air.
