Gemini remote won’t turn off Samsung tv
Hello. I have a Samsung tv, model LT24E310ND/ZA and a Stream module. When I turn off the tv with the Gemini remote, the programming goes away then I get a ‘input not found’ message on the tv. So the Steam module is off but the tv is still on. I’ve reprogrammed the Gemini remote many times without success. Would an updated remote help with this?

Hi, @bwloveless. Old and new remote share the same functions to turn off and on the receiver and TV at the same time. Please follow these steps on your device to manually select the right TV model:
Choose Settings and then System.
Select Remote & Devices, then Program Your Remote.
Choose the TV manufacturer you want to add.
Follow the prompts to finish up.
You may also try to reset your Gemini remote and pair it using the "Manual" method. Please let us know how it goes.

I’ve reprogrammed the remote by both brand and model number several times with no success!

Thank you for trying that option. Lets factory reset the remote control. Please follow the steps below:
1. Press and hold the Home and Exit keys simultaneously, until the LEDs on both sides display red.
2. Press 981 on the remote control.
3. The LEDs will turn Off and then blink blue 3 times on both sides.

Hello Jayson. Did the remote reset per your instructions. Then paired it per the prom with the FF and REW keys. Not successful sorry to say.

So you did the remote programming to your tv using the "manual" option? Try using the "standard" method

Is "power off devices" turned on under remote/device in settings?

Do you have HDMI CEC (it's called Anynet on some Samsung tv's) turned off? On the box---and tv

I have the same issue with a Hisense TV. Programmed both Standard and Manual with the TV Model#. No CEC involved. Power off devices is turned on.
It turns off Directv, but not the TV itself.
I have tried resetting the remote and re-pairing it.
The volume works, as do all the other buttons. When I power it off, Directv goes off and I get the "no input" message from the TV.
The weirdest part is that it WILL turn the TV ON (along with Directv) after I turn it off with the regular TV remote, just not OFF. It's crazy to have to use a second remote just to turn the TV off after turning off Directv.
I see a lot of posts about this, but no actual solutions. Has anyone actually solved this?
