Gemini Remote refuses to turn TV off
I have the same issue as many others on here with a Hisense TV. Remote has been programmed both Standard and Manual with the TV Model#.
No CEC involved.
Power off devices is turned on.
It turns off the Directv streaming device plugged into the back of the TV, but not the TV itself.
I have tried resetting the remote and re-pairing it many times.
The volume works, as do all the other buttons.
When I power it off, Directv goes off and I get the "no input" message from the TV.
The weirdest part is that it WILL turn the TV ON (along with Directv) after I turn it off with the regular TV remote, just not OFF.
It's crazy to have to use a second remote just to turn the TV off after turning off Directv with the Gemini Remote.
I see a lot of posts about this, but no actual solutions. Has anyone actually solved this?

Thanks for your efforts in troubleshooting, @jazzfretless. While not all TVs or speaker systems are currently supported, DIRECTV is constantly working to make our service is compatible with most smart TVs. You may need to continue using your TV's original remote at this time. John, DIRECTV Community Team
