Cant record local channels

I can watch local - abc, nbc, cbs, fox stations but if i go to say NBC At 10 pm and try to record what is on then for later the system tells me that show is already over. How can that be when it hasnt even started yet.

ANy suggestions of ideas what is going on here

THanks

Are you trying to record directly from the guide? Sometimes it's glitch. When you get into the guide--highlight the channel then click it. That will bring up a list of upcoming shows. Try to record it there.

yes i am at my home location

This is not a glitch - whether i bring up the item and try to record (there is no record option when i open the item) it just keeps saying the show is over

You didn't answer my questions. Please re-read what I posted. I was wondering if you are trying to pick the item from the guide? If so ...try to do what I mentioned.

Yes i tried that - when it brings up the channel/show info therer is not record button = only a view series. WHen i select view series i can see the upcoming show but when i hit record nothing happens. None of the tech folks can offer an explainationh for what is happening. I live in a development when i know two others who are using the air gemini device and they have the exact same problem. ive rebooted and everythign i can think to do. THis ONLY happens on the local broadcast stations - not the over 100 channels.

I just started another thread on this matter and I'm getting the same exact issue.

I think it may have to do with a bug or a glitch. I'm thinking I'm left with no choice but to start a new account and close the current one to see if that resolves it, which could be your only option as well. Then again, there's probably an issue with DirecTV stream affecting all of its customers that I may not even know about.
