Ability to hide items on the channel guide

Is there a way to hide channels on the Guide? As a convert from uverse to direct TV one nice feature of uverse was the ability to hide channels. The list of channels is so long and there are many that I will never want to watch. It is nice to have something between Favorite and All to manage the list of items on the guide
