This error apparently occurs on DIRECTV STREAM/Gemini Air boxes trying to auto-sign into credentials with an inactive subscription. The OP likely purchased the box from a previous owner through a third-party (i.e. eBay) and the previous owner never logged out correctly.
Another possibility is that they are a previous DIRECTV SATELLITE subscriber who unknowingly used the same email to sign up for DIRECTV STREAM. Therefore, the app/streaming device is confused when the OP puts their credentials in since the server primarily points toward an inactive satellite account.
