How many people have been scammed, like me, by your dishonest business practices?

I was approached by an AT&T salesperson in Target. They signed me up and told me I would get free Direct TV Stream , but I could cancel it. He lied. I can cancel the service, and they told me to return the box with the self addressed envelopes that never came. When I called because of a threatening email about charging me, they said the trial period had passed, and I would have to pay the full charge. These are scam tactics that you should be embarrassed about

This was an employee of a third party not an A TT sales person, their company gets commission on accounts they signup. If you read the many posts about this in the forum you will see you can't trust anything they say.

@DocHuber13

Sales people in other stores are not AT&T or DirecTV employees. Those work for 3rd party retailers who sell services for other companies.

AT&T has their own corporate stores. DirecTV and DIRECTV STREAM have no stores of their own, so there are no in-person directly employeed sales people for those 2 providers.

Too often sales peopel will say anything to make a sale. The legit ones focus on the good parts, but bad ones like the 3rd party you experienced will tell whatever whopper they need. Consider the situation the cost for learning to more cautious of any sales. Don't worry, they would not feel any sense of embarrassment. Hopefully neither do you.
