CANT PURCHASE A DIRECT TV STREAM SUBSCRIPTION

What is going on? When I input my credit card information the system throws an error saying unable to process payment. When I go through the online chat, they ask me to call to give verbal approval of a new account, but upon calling they see no setup pending approval. When I call and try to subscribe over the phone, they are also getting a payment error. It has nothing to do with Bank of America. What is going on at Direct TV. I never had this issue with Hulu.........

Unfortunately I don't have a new debit/credit card. Just one of each. I did try using an account with a different email but ended up getting the same error, "There is an error handling your request. Please Try Again." Then if you look at my bank acct activity, you see all the charges from my attempts of subscribing, then you see the corresponding debits. So I give up at this point, I'll just go back to Hulu. I kinda need tv, especially on the weekend lol.

I mean, is this level of service indictive of what having a Direct TV Stream will be about. Error messages at the simplest of steps?

Is the card you are using a credit or debit card? You can also try paypal

I tried with both my debit and credit card. Both resulted in the same error. I do not see a PayPal option when trying to purchase a subscription? Nor was that an option when I called.

Is the CC a debt card? If a CC card, does it allow reoccurring charges?

They used to allow PayPal at sign up, but now they require at least 1 month payment by CC before you can use PayPal.

Yes, both of my cards allow reoccurring charges. I have the protonmail subscription tied to my debit card so that is not an issue.

However back to Ludwick, when I went to pay my ATT Internet bill, from the services drop down, I saw a canceled Direct TV Stream service. (Even though I never was able to sign up for one???) From that screen I am able to use Paypal to update my billing information. I will report back if it works.

So I was able to link my paypal account. However I still cant just start a subscription. The Directtv.com site still requires me to enter credit card info? So another brick wall I can't get around....

As I said, the service requires at least 1 month payment by CC before PayPal can be used.

You should start fresh with a new email and new credit card. Don't use an email associated with another Dtv / ATT service. Some people have reported issues when using the same email associated with other Dtv / ATT products. Also, use an Incognito window on chrome browser (or private window on other browsers)

Those charges you see are just authorizations. Not sure what the issue is since they were able to authorize.

I'm trying to pay for the entertainment package and at the payment window it says it's processing my payment then returns back to the checkout page asking me to complete order again. I've tried on my phone and computer and same result. I guess they don't want my money.

I've tried 6-7 different cards and it will not accept any of them, when I call in there is apparently no one employed by directv that can tell me what the issue is. I've had the rep send me a secure payment link etc, everything goes fine until they run my card. Hell, I even tried my son's card and it declined. Only common denominator is my address which they are telling me they show no issues with.

Called my bank, they said they are approving the auth req from DTV then DTV is declining it saying there's an address error. I had the service for a couple of years. Canceled it then tried to sign up and ever since then it will not take any of my payment methods.

Are you using an email address that you've used with another ATT/Directv product?  If so, use a new email address.
