Will one Gemini box work across multiple Genies?
Recently got a Gemini box and installed it in conjunction with my DirecTV DVR whole home system. Most of the TVs that are connected by Genies are dumb TVs. I got the Gemini box with the hope that it would make apps accessible via it, turning them into pseudo smart TVs. That doesn't appear to be the case, unless I'm doing something wrong. Anybody have input on this? TYIA

When using an APP from GEMINI (as with) a Smart TV App or Firestick-ROKA device -That App will only Appear on the TV it is using. Whole Home Means DVR Recordings Only can Viewed By all TV's thru any Receiver or Mini Connected to a (DUMB) or Smart TV.
The Only Way to get APPS on "DUMB" TVS is to add a Standalone device to that TV that supports Apps, Example BLUERAY disc play or any Google device or those mentioned above.

The Gemini box (when replacing a Genie mini) is based off of Android TV so it does have a Google Play Store to stream Netflix, Hulu, MAX, YouTube, etc. Just go to Menu and then the Apps section. From there, you can sign into your Google account and start downloading apps to stream. Internet connectivity for the Gemini comes from the main Genie DVR. If the connection of the Gemini is too slow, consider Ethernet.

Detouch254, I don't see how your response to Benz139 answers his specific question. My question is similar to his. How does the single Gemini box connected to the main Genie DVR make the new app options available to all remaining TV's (Smart or otherwise) that still utilize Genie Mini's? The Gemini only appears to impact the local TV it is attached to. Do we need additional Gemini hardware for additional TV's. Asked another more direct way. How do I gain the same functionality on all my TV's?

One Gemini will NOT work across multiple Genies or TVs. Each TV needs its own box.
All Whole Home DVR does is allow you to watch recordings from one HDDVR to other HDDVR, HD non-DVR, and Clients (Mini Genie, Gemini, RVU TV) on the account.
You cannot share apps from the Gemini to the other TVs. You would need to replace each Mini Genie with a Gemini for them to have their own apps.
Any HDDVRs do not replace with the Gemini as that is losing capability. Those TVs get a separate streaming box (Roku, Firestick, etc.).

You only have 1 Genie everything else is a mini client. The C71WK Gemini mini client can only provide streaming apps to the TV it is connected to. You would need to replace the mini clients on the dumb TVs with the C71WK Gemini mini client.
