On my TV came a notification that there was an upgrade and it started to "download". I did not see the words Direct TV on the screen, so I am concerned I was hacked.

TVs connected to the internet also downloads updates, most tell you they have been updated.

if you did see the words DIRECTV on the screen turn off the box and ask DIRECTV about it the most it will do is stop the update

CSR's probably don't know if updates are schedule.

@shannon02 actually they do know, the update schedule is in the knowledge base that every csr is required to utilize for information
