No HDMI port on my TV
We have an older flat screen TV that lacks an HDMI port for the Direct TV Gemini to plug into, Our TV is built into a wall cabinet, so there is no way to access the back of this TV. There are We were told by a DirectTV rep that we'd need a converter. We have various female ports on the front of the TV. Is this what an HDMI converter would plug into?

Can you take a picture of those ports and post them?

There are HDMI convertors for the 3 A/V ports (traditionally Red/White/Yellow) or even to coax for old TVs that just have the classic antenna port.
May have to lower a lot of video settings as everything is built for HD now as a minimum. The Gemini is built for HD and 4K so unsure how well it would work. Hopefully some of my fellow ACEs will have a bit more info on that.
I getting close to that situation myself. Got an old TV with coax and A/V ports (with built in VCR) with an HR24. Does ok as built for the era of SD alongside HD. But it is on my consideration list to possibly replace within the next couple years (have other priorities).

HR24 has A/V out so plugs into my A/V ports. This is one of the best models DirecTV had, especially since you can have it with the regular Genie line.
I respect HD world going forward, but not doing away with individual receiver/HDDVR options.

How do I post a photo of my Input 3 ports? Copying from my phone won’t paste anything in comments.

Near the bottom of this reply box there is an icon of a mountain with a sun/moon that is the link to upload pictures at least using a laptop with a browser.

Input 3 ports are normally the Audio/Visual (A/V) that usually are labeled red/white/yellow. (only two if old enough for sound to be mono instead of stereo)
The Gemini/Osprey (C71KW) does not have A/V out ports or even the newer A/V dongle out, so you would need a small convertor to plug into the HDMI out port.
My only concern would be if this trips an HDCP handshake error as connected by HDMI (on the DirecTV side) but not confirming HDCP requirements. So can anyone else confirm if the convertor needs to be HDCP 2.2 compliant in this case?
