LG A2 48 Inch Oled TV Remote to Control DTV Receiver #H25-100
Recently I purchased a ne LG A2 48" Oled TV. The magic remote, model #MR22GA, during set up of the TV appeared to be paired with the Direct TV receiver, model #H25-100 (mfr date 04/10/12). However, it will not change the channels of the Direct TV receiver. Is there a way to resolve this situation or would we need to upgrade the receiver?

You would need to either use the H25's remote or get a different universal remote. DirecTV boxes are built to use their own remote and to control basic functions of the TV, not the other way around.
The H25 is DirecTV newest HD non-DVR. Only upgrade if you want a box that can record.

Most TV remotes don't have the codes for DTV receivers.
