Hr54-500 internet connected but can’t access

We moved our receiver from one room to another.  We did all the steps to access our network with no issues.  But when we try to access (like YouTube) it keeps telling us the internet is not connected.

DTV receivers can't access Youtube or any other streaming services with one exception the C71WK Gemini mini client.

The HR54 has absolutely no way to connect to YouTube or outside sites. Being internet connected only means you can access the On Demand service as well as order PPVs by remote.

The Gemini Client (C71KW) is the only box that has access to streaming apps. Is that what you're trying to use? If not then it seems you have a fundamental misunderstanding on how DirecTV works.

Just for clarity, many years ago, DirecTV receivers did have a YouTube app pre-loaded. But when YouTube launched their paid service, that was removed and did not return because at that point they were now competitors.

The Gemini (C71KW) is the exception as is both a DirecTV Client and a streaming device (think like Roku, Firestick, etc.) in one.

Glad this got it sorted for you. Hope whatever device you are using gets fixed.
