HR54 replace HR44, Connects to Internet, no On Demand
My HR44 HDD failed; it was replaced with a HR54, works fine on TV, connected to either WIFI or Cat 6, On Demand won't work.
DirecTV sent a replacement, same thing.
WIFI light at top of screen next to time is lit.
System Test everything OK..
Connect to Internet works fine, says Ready for On Demand.
All On Demands are not available.
Online support told me to talk to my Internet provider.
Don't know what the difference is with HR44, or what to ask if it's open?

It takes 24 to 48 hours for On Demand to download, as well as the guide info.

When a box is connected to internet for the 1st time (or if fully reset) it can take 24 to 48 hours for the On Demand info to download to the guide.
However, sometimes when connecting a brand new box you need to do a reset of the Gateway it is plugged into. Once done then reset network defaults on the HR54 and then connect fresh again. Give it the 48hrs from this point and you should see your On Demand content.
If still doesn't work at that point then that is odd and more details about your setup would be needed.

Thank you both. Wish support had mentioned this rather than two hours of chats, a second HR54, and now being told I needed a tech to upgrade all the receivers/clients.
Guess I'll wait. Thanks again.

He wasn't needed. It took over four days, but the On Demand finally worked.
