direct tv remote will not work with Hisense roku tv
I can turn the tv on and off only. Cannot get the menu to come up or anything else for that matter. What am I doing wrong?

That is all the DTV remote can do to the TV and control the volume and maybe change the TV inputs.

There was indeed a multi-device remote, but it's not with the newer stuff.
The current stuff only will do tv on /off and volume.
What model DTV box do you have?
(you might be able to locate and use an older style remote, since the IR commands to the DTV box are largely the same)
