My tv shut itself off while watching. After restarting it, my center Dennon speaker is not working and neither is the speak button on my DIRECTV remote.

Are you a DIRECTV SATELLITE or DIRECTV STREAM customer?
What is the receiver model of the DIRECTV receiver along with the remote model of the DIRECTV receiver?
Also, what happens when you try to use the speak feature? Does the DIRECTV receiver fail to react?
I'd try a red button reset (right side of the receiver on Gemini receivers) as well as on the main Genie receiver (if you are a DIRECTV SATELLITE customer)

The only DTV receiver that has the voice command is the C71WK Gemini.
