Yes, contract negotiations only effects that channel not a lot of nationwide channels and locals nationwide.  AFAIK  the sat wasn't moved it is just not aiming right.

So are you suggesting they are in negotiations with every local network nationwide right now instead? That would be blarney.

Fact is DirecTV is having a very bad technical issue regarding the transmission from the satellite. Not a good day for them. But not a situation that Dish is immune from as they are a satellite provider as well. Fortunately an issue of this magnitude is so rare seeing it happen once might be a lifetime event.

So time to stop trying to insert your blarney in place of reality. Welcome to the real world.

Though if local channels are about all you watch then why not use a regular antenna to get the free broadcast? Oh and dish goes through carriage negotiations every so often as well. They don't own the channels. If you the ones out were Tegna owned, DirecTV got their next multi-year agreement so we're good there.

@Evelynjones1974 since you watch mostly local channels have you ever tried an antenna? Locals are free over the air with an antenna so you wouldn't need satellite or cable service at all
