Reduce monthly service cost

Before we can assist further or offer a recommendation, how are you currently receiving your internet and phone (which provider) and are you bundling it with DIRECTV satellite?

What do you mean by ‘basic’ TV? Directv’s lowest package is the unadvertised Family package. There is also the Select package which in my opinion IS basic.

So you want TV for free? Then call DirecTV and cancel your account. Plug a traditional antenna in your TV for whatever free locals are within range.

Otherwise, you can call DirecTV and reduce your package to one more comfortable to your budget. I agree that "Select" would be normally the lowest acceptable for most, but there is Family if you really need to cut costs.

The cheapest way to get "basic TV" is with an off-air antenna. That's still free.
