Owed credit from a closed account

How do I receive credit that is owed to me from a closed account?

Since DTV no longer prorates the final bill why would you have a credit?

I froze my account then canceled my service after the expiration date of freezing the account.

That doesn't rate any credits.

My closed account has a negative balance because they owe me money after I cancelled my service. However, they keep sending me statements with the credit balance owed, but they have not sent the check for the credit  balance.

You "froze" the account? That is where the problem comes from. DirecTV cannot cancel an account that is in a suspended status.

Pay balance to $0 to start suspension.

Remaining days of cycle are prorated.

Suspension is max 6 months.

Upon suspension ending, incuding if you requested to do so early (even if canceling), the account receives prorated charges for the reaminder of the cycle in which it turns back on.

Cancellation goes through end of cycle and does not waive those partial charges.

If bills are going out with a credit balance, that suggests the account is not canceled and instead still in a suspended status. Otherwise you would have received a bill you had to pay.
