Now that DirecTV and ATT are separate... how can I fix my acct to not go through ATT anymore?

I have been with ATT/DirecTV for at least 15 years now.

I have not had anything ATT-related in 6 years, only DirecTV.

It has been (Edited per community guidelines) dealing with both ATT & DirecTV, and even after they have separated... our billing still comes from ATT despite hubby and I calling MULTIPLE times trying to explain that we only have DTV and don't want to be associated with ATT anymore.

Has anyone gone thru this? Can anyone provide some help? There are some AMEX deals I want to take part in that I cannot do b/c I am billed under ATT. But like I said, we have not had any ATT services since we bought our house 6 years ago. And we have told the ppl on phone help this!

I will message DirecTV for help also, but starting here hoping maybe they will see it and DM me.

Thanks!

They have sold DirecTV to the partner, but the transaction has to complete later this year (so the deal has yet to close). You can't remove AT&T's association earlier than that as applies to everyone. It is expected to finish in the 2nd half of this year, so all we can do is wait.

All you can do is separate the unified login. Make sure your login uses different info than AT&T's website (email, etc.). Will not affect your associated billing concern, but will help against future issues for website and app access.

I cannot log into direct tv to pay my bill. Says logging in then immediately said “signed out”. I have reset my password, cleared my cache and cookies, updated my system and restarted multiple times. Nothing works,

Most likely you will have to call DTV 1-800-531-5000 and say sign in to the robot.

@MaxMollyn

If you have a problem with AT&T, contact them. This is DirecTV (satellite TV service) which in addition to not being part of cell service is no longer under the AT&T umbrella. So once again, DirecTV is now separate form AT&T.

This thread is about a separation issue, be it billing or the unified login, (common problem from AT&T unifying the logins when they acquired DirecTV and now again with them parting ways and separating into completely separate entities once again). A login issue and your complaint about not being "automatic adjustments" seems unrelated (in addition to being rather vague).

Perhaps start a thread of your own and go over the specifics of your situation. Otherwise you seem to making some rather vague statements that sounds like yelling "me too" without any substance.
