No install, can I cancel?

I was scheduled to have DTV installed 12/16/22. Tech came out and said no line of sight could be found and asked if I wanted to proceed to have it installed anyway or if I wanted to decline. I declined and we went on with our day. The next day I checked my account online and it said there was an issue with finding a line of sight and a new tech was scheduled to come another day. Well that appointment is now gone off of the account. It gives me a first bill estimate and it also says no bill is due until install is complete. I’m not mad about it not getting installed as I already have tv with another company, but I’m wondering if this account will eventually close on its own or will I need to call and cancel it myself? I’ve kind of just been waiting to see what happens and if I ever get contacted but so far nothing. I don’t want to be potentially charged or anything so if I need to cancel I will, although I tried once before and sat on hold and got transferred several times over the course of 45 minutes so I gave up. They said I needed to be transferred to advanced IT to cancel. But if this is a simple cancellation I will gladly wait on hold again. Any advice here is helpful!

IF no line of sight can be found -then no charges should apply --as your service cannot be started - No extra effort on your part is needed

The tech closes the appointment for No Line of Sight (NLOS). Though can set it for a 2nd opinion, so later visit.

Normally you have to call to close the order itself to finish it out. You don't have to be transferred to "advanced IT". When you get the voice system just say "cancel". Usually the cancelation/retention department can close out the order seeing the NLOS. At most they transfer you to Direct Sales/New Customer department to close the open order.

You have to call and cancel the order itself (techs can only cancel the work order ) canceling the sales order will cancel the pending account. Anyone can cancel the order
