my soaps on CBS

haven't been able to watch for just about 2 months. I have missed so much. they offered me a 10.00 credit but that does not seem like enough . the best of the soaps I've missed.

Nexstar removed your soaps and can return them at anytime as DTV will carry them while they continue to negotiate the renewal contract.

Nexstar owns your local affiliate station of CBS. They took the channel away as they are demanding higher costs to be carried. If DirecTV's operating costs go up, then our bills go up that much more.

The $10 credit is a courtesy while negotiations continue. It is not something they have to do. All TV providers have a clause in the Terms of Service (ToS) that channels and their programming can change at any time. They don't own the channels so cannot force them to do anything.

As for where exactly you can find them, assuming you mean the soaps, same as before. Plug in a regular antenna and get the free broadcast. This is a useful backup during negotiations or other issues. Might even pull up other channels that DirecTV doesn't have (such as sub-channels).

Since channels and programming can come to go, suggested not to rely on a single channel for your livelihood. There are many other channels in your package to enjoy.
