My old usage data

I am trying to get a date that my family's satelite system stopped being used. We mistakenly took our system down thinking our account had been terminated. Unfortunately we were on autopay and we did not discover the mistake until much later. If we could get the date when the system went out of use then it would help with our open billing question. Given the amount of data that DTV collects I assume that there is a way to figure this out. Any ideas?

Unless you actually canceled your account with DirecTV they have no way to know if the equipment is being used or not.

There is no usage data for your account. Satellite service is a one-way transmission. DirecTV has no knowledge on how often you watch TV let alone when you stopped.

All you can do is call DirecTV cancel the service and pay for your final month. You don't get credit back for previous months.

While all TV providers collect anonymous viewing data there is no way to know which is yours.

That "anonymous" information is only if connected to internet (or in the old days by landline). By design it is not tied to the account.

Your boxes are receivers, the dish is a receiving dish, hence nothing account specific is transmitted to DirecTV about what or how much you watch. Just like other TV providers it matters not how much you use it. It is subscription based, not usage based, so you pay for the month regardless of how much you use it.
