Liars, scammers, and cheats
The service is crap. Customers service is even worse. They lie and say and do whatever they can to get me off the phone. I was offered a 155.43 credit on my account which miraculously disappeared 2 days later with no record of said credit. Their solution was to offer me a $76 credit after 3 hours dealing with them on the phone, I cancelled . Especially since it was their equipment that was crapping out for the month. If you are looking for service....run as far and as fast as you can from this shady company!

Company is not shady. But sounds like you got a bad agent. Later agents of course cannot honor an invalid offer and certainly not their fault if that first one didn't even note anything in regards to it. Sadly no company is immune from this situation.
If cancellation hasn't completed yet, you could try posting details of the issues you are having with the service and perhaps other users could help find a solution. Otherwise if fully closed out, then take care.

A 1000% agree with you. They are a bunch of LIARS that do and say whatever they want to get you into their corporate and hit you hard later on. Shame on you and everyone else that are doing this. AT&T, you should know better. I used to think so highly of you and now, people mentioned AT&T and I just want to throw up 🤢 🤮. Direct TV, you should fix whatever is that you got going on in your house and I wish you start from the TOP down because YES you at the TOP, you don’t care about your CUSTOMERS and that is sad because we should be your NUMBER 1 PRIORITY. Remember, you need us, we don’t need you. If it is for me to get RICH by LYING and being DISHONEST, I rather DIED with what I have right now.

never trust door to door salesmen, they usually work for independent companies just trying to make a profit from you signing up. They usually miss out on important info such as the obvious two year contract. Next time, you should be careful about who you trust and always check the website before agreeing to anything. The directv website does clearly state about a contract that applies when you sign up.
As this is a dated thread, it will be closed.
