This is a customer to customer forum. You have to call DTV 1-800-531-5000. AFAIK the minimum time you can suspend the account is 30 days so it can't be reinstated until then.
If you voluntarily suspended, that is minimum 30 days and max 6 months. You call to restore service if you want it before the schedule date.
However, if you are suspended for past due, then you must pay balance in full (not just past due) to restore service. There is no partial payment option. And a payment arrangement for past due can only be set before it reaches the point of suspension.
