How to start a new DIRECTV account using the old DIRECTV satellite dish

Depending on what dish you have as well as where it is mounted/if there are trees in the way, you may or may not be able to use the dish again.

Canceled U-Verse TV is gone. It is a grandfathered service that has nothing to do with DirecTV.

You call DirecTV or go onto their website to order service. If the old dish can be used they generally do so. If not, then a new one would be installed.
