Equipment fees
This company is ripping ppl off. The 1st don't tell you it cost an extra 100 to get this box that's suppose to make the other tvs work remotely but they still controlled by a box then when u want to Transfer services they charge u 100 to transfer services and a 100 for each extra box you want to add to your home even though they already coming to your home to hookup equipment. They want to charge 100 for each box to get screwed into your TV and then will turn around and charge for each month you want to cancel the plan not to mention you can't even get local channels with there streaming services this is the worst cable company ever I would prefer to deal with Xfinity then directtv this ridiculous ripping ppl off.

Not sure what you are saying, the new customer install for up to 4 TVs is free and includes the main Genie (controller) and 3 or 4 mini clients (remotes). The up front lease fee for a Genie is $299 and mini clients is $99. Not sure what you mean about transferring services as DTV doesn't allow anyone to transfer services to another person unless the account holder dies and the surviving spouse can take it over and it is free. You agreed to the TOS that stated there is a $20 per unused month fee for canceling before the 2 yrs are up.

There is no transfer of services. The $99 (what I assume you meant by $100) per box is only for any additional boxes beyond your free order. Something isn't adding up so I wonder if you got wrong information from the agent, assuming the person wasn't pretending to be from DirecTV.
Was this your initial install or an upgrade?
What are the models of each box you now have?
If an upgrade, what boxes did you have before?

that's what the worker told me when I called Directtv the same day they was coming to hook up my services at my new address. They said $99 for each box to get hooked up I pacifically asked the rep is she saying I have to pay $300 to get 3 extra boxes and the rep said yes $99 charge for each additional box hookup.

I wouldn't mark your own post as "Accepted Solution" when your situation hasn't been straightened out yet.
You mention new address, so sounds like you already have DirecTV and are moving your service. There is no per box charge as they install the boxes you already have. So either agent gave you bad info or something is wrong with the order.
What are the models of each box you have now?
Are you adding 3 more TVs then what you currently have setup?
Was there anything else you expected to change with equipment?

Also a Movers Order (what I believe you meant by "transfer services") is not $100. Either you have a free one if it has been at least two years since your last move (or original install) with account in good standing or if not then it is $199.
To be sure you called DirecTV's official number, not placing an order through someone who contacted you right? Just making sure as the bad costs you were informed sound a bit similar to some known scams out there.

Correction: If it has been at least 12 months of active service since your last Movers order or original install.
Sorry about that, my mind transferred the timeframe of an upgrade in the prior post.

Yes I called directtv direct number myself. It is new service for about 2 months and then I moved. Now in a bigger place need more tvd hooked up but to charge 100 per room hook up is ridiculous. When I already have the wireless hookup the genie so it's only a box I can plug hdmi card into tv and cord in outlet for electricity but to say 100 per box is a no no to me and sound like a scam. Especially if someone is already coming to hook up my services that im getting transferred to my new home.

OK, you didn't have a free move deal coming so you where bill the $199 movers fee as for the extra TVs that is still the correct price for additional mini as you didn't qualify for a free single mini upgrade so no one is ripping you off.

So you got new service but then moved 2 months later? That pretty much clears it up.
A free Movers order is only after 12 months of active service since last move, or in this case the original install. Before then it is a $199 for a Movers order.
The order would normally not have any fees for equipment as you just take your existing boxes. If you get additional boxes or change what kind of boxes, what is referred to as an "upgrade", then it coms with a cost if you don't qualify for a free one. At 2 months you definitely didn't have a free upgrade. The $99 would be the one-time lease cost for each HD non-DVR or Mini Genie Client outside of a free upgrade.
If you didn't have a wireless setup already, so no wireless video bridge (WVB), there is $99 for the purchase and setup of the WVB. Unlike the receiver/client boxes, this is an owned accessory so doesn't have the potential for a free upgrade option even if it had been past the 24 months.
In the end, you have both a Movers order and an upgrade of equipment, but is only 2 months since your install. They are not going to provide different equipment and install for free that soon. Not a ripoff, just you are expecting free perks long before you've earned them as a customer.

No I'm not.expecting free perks. I work for a living I dnt mind paying my way. But $99 for each room is ridiculous. If it's a flat rate to upgrade fine and that is something yall need to teach yall representative to inform ppl like me. Your service is to new for a upgrade you must wait for 12 months. None of your reps said anything that you wrote they only said $99 each room hook and if I'm paying for equipment I gotta give back that still is a rip off. I wasn't even told from the beginning of my contract it was go cost $99 to even get the genie cause it's yall new service. Then I receive a bill for a whole month after having the service for only 2 weeks. So to say I want free service I would of just turned the service off and moved on like most people but I honor my contracts to the end. Just because you work for them of course you feel I'm asking for something free but I'm asking for something reasonable not a 500 bill because I moved to a bigger home that's ridiculous

This is a customer to customer forum, only a few employees on their own time and can't speak for the company and have that fact stated in a box similar to the ACE box and the moderators read these posts.

From your duplicate thread...
You can't have someone buy out your contract. Account is in your name and SSN, that doesn't change.
You moved only a couple months after install. You don't get free all over again that soon. You are being greedy.

Like I said I'm not asking for free I'm asking for a reasonable installation fee not a $300 installment fee. Period are you not reading my full message or you just picking out what you want so you can have something to say about my post

The fees are the same for all of us. You installed and then moved 2 months later while wanting to add more TVs then you had. As such you pay for the Movers order and each additional box beyond what you already had.
You have to build up to being a loyal customer and them making money back on their investment of your original install. There is no 2 month discount. You have to be over 12 months before a free Movers order is available, and over 24 months since install (or last upgrade) for a free upgrade of equipment as well.
We get you don't like it, but these are the costs that apply to all of us. And similar would happen with other companies if you were to move within a short time of install. That is the reality of the situation. You want cheaper, don't add more boxes with the move and wait until your free upgrade.

That's not true I had Xfinity and had none of these problems Xfinity sent me the boxes to hook up with no problem. So it's just DirectTV who does these ridiculous prices for add-ons. And like I said before I will uphold my contract cause that is what I do and after that, I would go back to the company that didn't charge me all these crazy prices for service. Thank you for your opinion it's greatly appreciated have a great day.
