DirecTV suspension

I spoke with a guy from the executive office team a few days ago. He said he could make me a payment arrangement for restoring my service and that he would email back end about this.  I was wondering if there is any way to connect with back end to aid the process.   Thanks

DirecTV has lost half of my local channels but they continue to charge me full price.  Now my account is suspended for late payment and I was sick in the hospital for 6 weeks.   Is there anyway to reconnect without paying the full balance. I just don't have the money.  Thank you

Nope.  Read the TOS channels and programing are subject to change at anytime.

If you account is suspended for non payment then the only way to restore it is to pay the entire amount owed.

Payment arrangement can only be done once past due but before suspended. Once suspended the system requires payment of balance in full to restore service. As such I question the legitimacy of the person being from the "executive office team" as claimed. Pay TV is entertainment. Not having the money is exactly why you are shut off. Can't pay then you don't get service, simple concept.

Nowhere does it say you get a set number of locals or that any channel in particular will always be there. Since they don't own the channels, all TV providers have a clause stating the channels/programming as subject to change at any time. As long as you get a single local channel, you get exactly what you pay for.

Perhaps consider getting a regular antenna to use as a backup. Local affiliate owners in recent years have been pulling the feed when agreement comes up so this helps protect you. Plus you may find additional sub-channels that DirecTV doesn't have. Something to think of for when you can afford it.

People go through hardships all the time.  The last thing I need is a smart (Edited per community guidelines) coming in here telling me what I already know.   No money = shut off.   Yeah I got that brother.   Maybe next time be a little more considerate for your fellow users going thru hard times.

I get people go through hardships. What I stated was simple fact and how to expect everything to work. This was mentioned because it seemed whoever you talked to may have given false expectations.

You compared paying full price for a change in local channel availability against being shutoff because you couldn't pay. I showed they followed the Terms of Service (ToS) in both cases and pointed out the simplicity that since DirecTV is entertainment (not a necessity like a utility of power or water) that there is nothing wrong getting shutoff because you couldn't pay.

Nothing was inconsiderate, just putting facts in perspective. I simply choose not to sugarcoat my responses and keep it straight forward instead.
