Direct TV & Apple Promotional Offer

How do you report a scam that I believe may be a Direct TV internal job, due to the fact they accessed my Direct TV service and initiated the offer on my TV. The person had me go to my TV, tell him what I saw on the Movie Channel, which was not activated because I did not subscribe to those channels.  Then he said turn your TV off so the Satellite can locate the location and then he said to turn the TV on and the channels for the Movie Channels that were part of the promotion were activated.  So of course it seemed legitimate and I agreed to get an Apple Gift Card and load it with $300.  Called them back at 1-888-707-3363.  Gave him my Apple Card number and then he came back and said there was a problem because I was supposed to have 2 separate cards of $150.  He referred me to a Senior Agent Ed Green Employee ID #EG1271, that would help me resolve this.  He tried the card and said he had the same message. And then said I would need to go get 2 Apple GC's with $150, and for the inconvenience they were sending me a refund for the Apple Gift Card for the $300 plus $100 in the form of a Check and instead of the $100 VISA Gift Card initially as an appreciation for taking advantage of this promo, they will also send $150 VISA Gift Card, and it would arrive via FED EX in the morning.  However, I would have to complete the transaction today to receive the promotion.  I was absolutely not going to do this. I expressed my concerns and said, I am going to get off the phone and call Direct TV.  He continued to say, you have already received your promotion Movie Channels, we have proven that this is legitimate.  He said, when would you be able to complete this transaction. I said, the next day by noon.  He said that wouldn't work because the Promo Code had already been applied so it will have to be finalized today.  Then I said I'm sorry but this sounds so shady!  and this sounds like you are scamming me.  Well I got off the phone and called Apple and confirmed that the Apple Gift Card I used had a 0 balance.  And then I called Direct TV and they had a recorded call (that had been manipulated) that said I called in to add all the Movie Channels +, which I DID NOT.  I explained, I have never wanted those Movie Channels, ever!...This was part of the Apple Promotional Offer and that is the only reason I agreed to the additional Promotional offer.  But, oddly...the
"real" conversation that should have been recorded was not in their records.  The recording was that I called in to add the Movie Channels to my account.  And the recording did not include anything about the Apple Gift Card to take advantage of the Apple Promotional offer teaming with Direct TV.  I implore, IMPLORE Direct TV to investigate this! Someone is working on the inside of Direct TV or this is a very sophisticated organization and have been seriously hacked!  Your customers are being violated.  I will remind you...they had me go to my TV and they installed the Movie Channels, ALL of the movie Channels instead of just the 4 Movie Channels, while I was on the phone with them...looking back they gave us ALL of them because they knew we were suspicious. But how did they have access to our Direct TV system.  I want answers!

Similar scam just happened to me. I had multiple calls from Direct TV so I called back. They did reference a recent tech service that I had so thought ok this may be real. Offered a promotion of $99 p/month. If I pay 3 months in advance. $75 gift card and then the tie in with Apple. I hung up.

By any chance did you also have a recent tech appt?
